1999-2000: Released from his second 10-day contract on 3/12...Signed to a second 10-day contract by Cleveland on 3/6...Signed to a 10-day contract by the Cleveland Cavaliers on 2/25
1998-1999: Waived by the Bucks on 2/18...On the injured list from 2/4 to 2/17 due to peroneal tendinitis in his right ankle
1996-1997: Marshall played in 56 games as a reserve forward, averaging 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game, all modest improvements over his rookie figures...Although he ranked sixth on the team with 33 three-pointers made and shot a respectable .379 from behind the arc, his overall field goal shooting percentage was a disappointing .325...He scored a career-high 17 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field, in 18 minutes in a 106-73 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 25. Five days earlier he scored 13 points in a 94-74 loss at Utah, when he matched his career high by playing 27 minutes. He scored in double figures a total of six times.
1995-1996: Marshall played sparingly in 34 games as a rookie, averaging 2.3 points in 6.1 minutes per game. He scored a career-high nine points against Indiana on Nov. 7 and played a career-high 27 minutes at Miami on March 10, when he grabbed a season-high three rebounds. He appeared in six of the final 10 games of the season and closed out the year with eight points and three rebounds in nine minutes at Indiana on April 21. Marshall was on the Cavs' playoff roster but logged just one scoreless minute in the series, in Game 1 of the first round.
As a Collegian:
In the 1995 NBA draft, Donny Marshall became UConn's sixth pick under Jim Calhoun, being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played three seasons for Cleveland and was a valuable member of the New Jersey Nets bench in their 2001-02 and 2002-03 NBA Finals runs.
