Recognized as one of the top defensive players in the country. Named National Defensive Player of the Year by Basketball News magazine. Co-captained the Huskies for his final three seasons. As a senior, played a key role in UConn's NCAA Championship run. Named to the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team and NCAA West Regional All-Tournament Team. Averaged 6.9 ppg and 3.0 rpg for his career. His 510 career assists (3.8 per game) and 170 career steals rank No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, on the UConn all-time lists.
